Lots of people are afraid of dogs. The fear is quite often triggered when we’re a young child. Maybe you were happily playing with a dog and suddenly your dog got upset and started growling at you. If that happens when you were older and wiser, no problem, you’d likely not have an issue. But at a young age, suddenly your mind starts to think that a dog isn’t really man’s best friend.
Since we learn quickly when we put our mind to it, this idea gets stuck in our mind. Whether we like the idea or not.
So what can you do to get rid of your fear of dogs? After all, most of them just want to make friends with you and be fed dog treats every now and then.
You could try and rationalize that “dogs are my friends” but we both know that it’s highly unlikely you’ll believe that kind of talk. Above all as there’s almost certainly a voice in your head yelling (in true pantomime fashion) “oh no they aren’t!”
The next thing to try is to put yourself close enough to dogs that you see them but they can’t see you or have it jump up at you and smother you with muddy paw prints. Pictures work well for this stage. Unless you’re truly paranoid, you know that the picture is actually some dollops of ink on paper or a bunch of colored dots on a computer screen. So this is quite a safe transition stage for most people and you’ll likely notice your mind getting slightly more relaxed at the thought of encountering a dog in real life.
But all this is slow progress and we all like instant results nowadays. What do you do if your kids absolutely must have a dog and they won’t take no for an answer.
A much faster way to combat things such as a fear of dogs|being afraid of dogs is by using hypnosis. This works quickly and easily. And no-one but you will ever realize you’re using hypnosis as you can instantly download a hypnosis MP3 for being scared of dogs and play it on your MP3 player and just let your fear disappear.
